Gates will open at 9:00 Am Pratice starts at 9:30 Am Racing starts at
11:00 Am Make sure you dress warm it will be cold.
Also if you feel you need more of a racing fix you need to get with the IMA they will also be running for A point’s championship. If you don't have a kart or you would like to race for 2 championships contact the IMA at 941.343.7136 or there web site www.imaracing.com they will be running a full points season with us.

| | MEETING 11-18-09 AT THE TRACK | | Dear Parents and Karting Teams,
Hello my name is Jason Beckner some of you may know me from the track and various events that we do in the community. As of Sunday November 8th I am now the director of operations for the CCMP Karting program. It has been a great year for Karting in 2009 and we are looking forward to expanding in 2010. We have many objectives that I would like to achieve for the Karting program here at CCMP, and I would love to have everyone’s thoughts and concerns. I would like to set up a meeting for all of us to get together and discuses some of the issues at hand.
I believe that we all need to have fun in this sport especially for our kids. We need to have an advisory committee, to assist in rules, regulations, event planning, volunteers, and everyone to have a voice in there Karting program.
Safety is another big issue. We need to have more track workers on hand to assist the flagging personal. That’s were my volunteer program will come into play, and we will talk more on all the issues when we have our first of many meetings. I would like to have a meeting before our winter season starts on December 4th. I know a lot of you are busy for the next few weekends. I would like to have our 1st meeting at the track Wednesday November 18th at 6:30pm before the Homestead race weekend, and Thanksgiving weekend. That should give us all time to get everyone in order before the start of our new season. We will be covering all your ideas, concerns from, rules, parking, race time, scheduling, and much much more.
Also while I’m thinking about it, there is a Holiday Parade in Venice on the 28th I am looking for volunteers to help build and design a float. If you’re interested please let me know.
I am very excited to work with everyone and look forward to the future of Karting here at CCMP.

| | | A great night of racing.
The CCMP Karts were at it again Friday night with some great racing action. The Kid Karts started off the night with Jake Knepper the winner. The Cadets battled hard till the end with Johnny Marra getting his first victory. The Easy 60's had Kodi Snapp a winner followed by Joey Metcalf with Emily Boddy a close third. Briggs rolled out the animials with Zeb Davis taking another win with Paul Cook taking second and Randy Balmer third. Box stock had Bryant Coker winning his second in a row with points leader Allen Faircloth coming in second with Tim Dupre third. The Tag Karts had some familar faces returning to battle with a great field of karts, Brad Sanders taking the win with Francois Brun-Wilbaux a close second and Danny colleli third to finish off a great night. Our next event is Sunday November 1 hope to see you all there!
The summer points season will conclude on Nov 1 and our Banquet is scheduled for Nov 8 to crown the champions. The winter season is set to kick off the end of November dates will be released soon. |
